  4. In order to buy your freedom you will need to retrieve the scrolls from all

  8. During the course of the game many factors will change, thankfully there is a 
  9. shop
  10. close by where you can obtain provisions, recruit crewmen, buy maps and so on.

  23. 1. Make repairs to your ship. This will not increase your ship's armour 
  24. (Strength) , it will
  25.     merely restore your ships condition to 100%
  26. 2. Buy a Map. You are able to disembark at the islands without a map, having 
  27. bought
  28.     a map you will need to discover which island the map applies to (use option 
  29. 7).
  30. 3. Armour. During the course of the game your ship will become less effective, 
  31. this can be
  32.     as a result of damage caused by a previous battle or because you do not 
  33. have enough
  34.     crewmen. The highest armour level is 3.
  35. 4. Crewmen. You begin the game with 20 crewmen. As the game progresses you are
  36.     likely to lose some, either killed during battle or because you do not have 
  37. enough
  38.     food and drink.......without food and drink your men will jump ship!
  39. 5. Buy food, this keeps the crew happy.
  40. 6. Buy rum, this also keeps the crew happy.
